Porsche South Africa has launched a special edition six-cylinder Cayenne - the Platinum Edition.
The Cayenne Platinum Edition, available in petrol or diesel, has a silver metallic finish applied to the air intakes, side window-frames, spoiler and rear bumper. The special edition SUV sports 19" Cayenne Design II alloys.
PERFORMANCE
The Cayenne Platinum Edition is fitted with a 220kW/400Nm 3.6-litre V6 petrol with a claimed fuel consumption of 9.9 litres/100km and emissions of 236 g/km.
The diesel is powered by a 180kW/ 550Nm 3.0 V6 with a fuel consumption of 7.2/100km and emissions of 189 g/km. Both engine are mated a tiptronic S transmission.
The cabin can be optionally fitted with two-tone leather upholstery, special floor mats and door-sill guards with a ‘Platinum Edition’ logo. All special edition models are equipped with high-resolution 18cm touchscreen, satnav and a 235W audio system with 11 speakers.
Standard kit includes bi-xenons, upgraded power-steering, front and rear park assist and rear-seat privacy glass.
The units can be ordered now (December 2013) with first SA deliveries in February 2014. Retail prices will be announced soon... when they are, Wheels24 will let you know.
