PARIS, France - Toyota will unveil its C-HR concept at the October 2014 Paris auto show, calling it “a vision for a hybrid-powered compact crossover that displays an emphatic new design language”.
The show car, the automaker says, will give an early hint of a kind of vehicle Toyota would like to have in its showrooms.
GUNNING FOR NISSAN
It's expected to take on Nissan's Juke and complement its own RAV4.
“The car,” the company explained: “introduces an expressive design approach with a diamond styling theme. Beneath the flowing cabin profile, the lower bodywork has been sculpted to create faceted surfaces.
“The front treatment marks a development of Toyota’s current design cues and the introduction of themes which signal a future direction for its vehicles.”
The lower body is also “faceted” while large wheel arches and an angular rear. “Aero-inspired” floating rear light clusters add further emphasis to the vehicle’s assertive design.
The C-HR media conference will take place on the Toyota stand in Hall 4 of the 2014 Paris auto show at 8am on October 2. The Paris show will also host the first European appearance of the exterior design of Toyota's Fuel Cell Sedan, due to be launched in Europe in 2015.
