BLING-BLING: Cars at the Detroit auto show are showing great personality with emphasis on bling-bling

DETROIT, Michigan - Headlights, grilles and other doodads are stepping up and popping out on show vehicles at the 2013 Detroit auto show.

There are daytime running lights that go up the hood of the new Cadillac ATS, a wide, bold grille on the Ford Fusion, engraving within the lights of the new Corvette and Ford Transit.

They're all inexpensive but distinctive, providing automotive eye-candy that can even reduce fuel consumption or improve safety.

Car bling is in abundance at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit which will open to the public January 19. Here's what's adorning vehicles on the floor...

Lighting up the show floor
Hot off the grilles
Touch of crystal from Acura
Step in the right direction
Corvette 'snowglobe' lights
New Cherokee: 'Kinda like death'
