The 760Li(a long wheelbase version of the 7 Series) is now available locally and is the range topper for the 7 Series.

This big Beemer has a 14cm longer wheelbase than the normal 7 Series. It features a 12-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum output of 327kW at 6 000r/min. Torque is 600Nm at 3950r/min

This model's engine is the world's first direct-injection 12-cylinder unit. The 760Li therefore marks the third generation in BMW's tradition of successful 12-cylinder saloons.

Acceleration from 0-100 km/h comes in 5.5 seconds, acceleration to 200 km/h in barely 17 seconds, and top speed is limited to 250 km/h.

The world's first six-speed automatic transmission already introduced with the other engines in the 7 Series offers everything it takes for refined and efficient use of the 12-cylinders' torque and power. At 160 km/h, for example, engine speed is only 2 500 rpm.

The BMW V12 offers both the driver and the passengers alike the most sophisticated standard of motoring in genuine style.

The 760Li in "standard" trim will be launched with a price tag of R1 135 000.
