Audi's hot TTS Coupe arrives in SA: Price, gallery

Cape Town - Following the successful launch of the new Audi TT in South Africa in February 2015, the automaker has launched its new performance “S” model in the compact sports car range - the new TTS Coupe.

The Audi TTS Coupe 2.0T FSI is priced at R700 500.

The TTS, first launched locally in in 2008, returns in the third generation TT, powered by a 2.0T FSI engine (borrowed from the S3 range) capable of 210kW/380Nm.

0-100km in 4.8sec

The Audi TTS is only available in Coupe bodystyle and S tronic transmission, including the launch control and quattro all-wheel drive. It dispatches the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.8 seconds. Fuel consumption is rated at a claimed 7.1 litre/100km with emissions of 164g/km.

To differentiate the TTS from the standard version it gains a sportier grille, wider air-intakes, qaud exhausts, 19" alloy rims, aluminium-look side-mirrors. The new coupe sits 10mm lower.

The new Audi TTS Coupe is sold with a five-year or 100 000km Audi Freeway Plan.
