Cape Town - The 2018 Volkswagen and Touareg models have been spotted in South Africa. Facebook fan page Ferd, a self-titled 'automotive tipster', posted photographs on the social media platform.
The Touareg is likely to make their debut at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show in September. The image of the Touareg reveals the SUV's large front-grille and a more angular headlight design compared to the outgoing model.

All Touareg derivatives are likely to come standard with all-wheel drive. Engine choices?
The engine lineup is will definitely include TSI and TDI engines, it is unclear if Volkswagen South Africa will include a 2.0-litre TSI or 2.0-litre TDI derivatives. Currently, Touareg buyers can only choose between two engines: a 3.0-litre V6 TDI or a V8 TDI.
A hybrid model is also being touted, but that remains to be confirmed. An 8-speed automatic transmission is likely to be standard in all models.
