'Most powerful E-Class yet' - New Mercedes-AMG E43, E63 in SA

Johannesburg - Mercedes-Benz has launched new additions to its E-Class range in June 2017, including the new coupe variant.

Two new models join the E-Class range this week; the E43 and E63 S have arrived in SA, the former powered by a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine producing 295kW. According to the automaker it represents the most powerful variant of the Mercedes-AMG 43 range.

With two new turbochargers (and software upgrades), the six-cylinder engine delivers an output of 295kW/520Nm.

It's available with the automaker's 4MATIC four-wheel drive.

Power is channeled via the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. Spoty upgrades include a re-tuned sports suspension (based on the automaker's air-suspension) and improved steering.
