Update for popular Corsa

According to GMSA the changes focus on refreshing the models for 2004 and adding value to the product.

The pricing of the models remains unchanged, whilst the Corsa 140 Club model is the first of the new Corsa models priced under R90 000 at R86 995.

Badging is revised whilst the previous model badges on the front door have been removed and now appear on the bootlid only.

The Corsa Hatch line-up remains essentially unchanged with a choice of 5 models, all five-door derivatives.

Engine choices are 1.4-litre fuel injected petrol (66 kW at 6 200 r/min and 115 Nm at 3 200 r/min), 1.6-litre fuel injected petrol (75 kW at 5 800 r/min and 139 Nm at 3 200 r/min), and 1.8 litre fuel injected petrol (79 kW at 5 400 r/min and 160 Nm at 2 600 r/min).

The base specification model is now designated Corsa 1.4 Club. Full body colour bumpers on the two 1.4 models and the 1.6 Elegance are replaced with bumpers that have body colour with black highlights.

This treatment is the same as that originally applied to the Corsa 1.6 Sport and the Corsa 1.8 GSi and is continued on these two models.

Body colour wheel arch mouldings on the two 1.4 models, the 1.4 Club and the 1.4 Comfort, as well as the Corsa 1.6 Elegance are now black. Side mouldings in grained black finish are added to these three models and are now featured across the range.

As with the Corsa Hatch, the Corsa Classic line-up provides a choice of 5 models, including a diesel powered derivative.

Engine choices are 1.4-litre fuel injected petrol, 1.6-litre fuel injected petrol, 1.8 litre fuel injected petrol and 1.7-litre turbocharged diesel with intercooler (55 kW at 4 400 r/min and 165  Nm at 1 600-3 000 r/min).

Side mouldings in grained black finish are added to the Corsa Classic 1.4 Comfort and 1.6 Comfort and are now featured across the range.

The matt chrome finish on the centre console, inside door handles, gear knob, and handbrake lever of the1.8 Gsi is now applied across the range.

Interior trim is revised across the Corsa Classic range. The electronic remote trunk release, previously only fitted to the top of the range Corsa Classic 1.8 Executive, is now standard on all Corsa Classic models.
