Styling, IS new, with a different grille, a wide heavy-duty colour coded bumper, and integrated four-level load-levelling headlamps.

Fog lamps are fitted into the bumper and on the diesel models there's an air-intake cover on the bonnet.

There are 15 inch alloy wheels.

The Sedona offers a lot of room in its 4 925 mm overall length and 1 900 mm width, with 1 020 mm headroom at the second-row rear seat and 942 mm headroom at the third-row rear seat.

There are dual sliding side doors, and a 2-2-3 split seating configuration with removable seats. Seats have full leather upholstery.

Other Sedona features include storage areas and independently controlled middle and rear air vents.

Other creature comforts include adjustable armrests, headrests, seatback table, seat under trays, cup holders, shopping bag hanger with hooks and a 12V power outlet comes standard.

Standard equipment includes rpm-sensitive power-assisted steering, central door locking with a keyless entry remote, air-conditioner (CFC free), 3-in-1 radio/CD/tape deck, remote fuel flap opener, 8-way electrical adjustable driver's seat, and volume control buttons on steering wheel plus cruise control.

The Sedona has two engine choices, a 2.5 V6 petrol and a 2.9 CRDi engine.

The 2.5 quad cam V6 Petrol engine has a maximum power output of 101 kW at 5 600 r/min, with 224 Nm of torque at 4 000 r/min. There are either four-speed automatic or five speed manual gearboxes.

The 2.9 Common Rail direct injection engine has 16 valves, four cylinders and double overhead camshafts, and gives 106 kW at 3 800 r/min, with 310 Nm of torque at 2 000 r/min. Again, both automatic and manual options are available.

Stopping power is provided via ventilated discs up front and drums at the rear wheels. Active safety features include advanced 4-channel 3-mode ABS.

There are dual airbags in front. The Sedona has an in-key transponder and central locking.

It has a 3 year/100 000 km warranty and 3 year unlimited mileage roadside assistance.

Service intervals are at 15 000 km and a 3 year / 60 000 km maintenance plan is standard.


The Sedona 2.5 Manual will retail at an affordable price of R249 995 and the 2.5 Auto at R259 995. The 2.9 CRDi manual will retail at R254 995 and the 2.9 CRDi Auto at R269 995.
