2004 Hyundai Bakkie 2.6

accreditation

Hyundai is now launching an all-new H100 Bakkie, which is aimed at small business operators in need of a versatile, reliable vehicle to facilitate their daily operations.

According to Hyundai the new H100 Bakkie was designed to redefine the customer's complete expectations of a light truc

Hyundai claims that the H100 offers a new level of "class comfort" and there are more seat and shoulder room than before. . The centre console is driver oriented console and it has a car-like instrument cluster.

It features a steel chassis, with double wishbone and torsion bar front suspension and rear leaf springs, driven by a 2.6 naturally aspirated diesel engine.

Safety features include side impact bars, single moulding body panels and a variable cross-section cowl cross member.

The 2.6-litre engine produces 58 kW at 4 000 r/min and an 170 Nm of torque from as low down as 2 200 r/min. This drives the rear wheels through a floor shift 5-speed manual gearbox.

With a lower deck height and an unobstructed load area, the New H100 can carry cargo weights of up to 1 300 kg. Latching side walls and a bolting tailgate add extra security and cargo protection.

Instead of opting for a conventional bakkie layout, Hyundai again chose a forward-mounted cab configuration, which sees the cab positioned directly over the engine and front wheels. The H100's load area is 2 785 mm long and 1 630 mm wide.
