BUILT IN SA: The GTC V8 car has been designed to accommodate numerous body types "to meet the shape of any medium sized sedan". It is hoped that the cars will be built in South Africa which will, according to GTC, “create a small industry as the series is expands globally".
12 CARS IN THE LINE-UP: GTC reports at least six SA teams having signed up for two cars each. The GTC Africa series is due begin in South Africa during the second half of 2014 with races in other African countries planned in 2016.
