IN THE FLESH: Kawasaki will showing their
supercharged H2 at dealerships country-wide over the next two months. Image: Wheels24 / Dries van der Walt
MEAN MACHINE: The H2 looks aggressive and
fast, and judicious use of green accents asserts the Kawa brand.
GIVE ME STRENGTH: The high-tensile steel
trellis frame forms the bike’s backbone.
HAVE A LOOK: Bike fans all walks of live
enjoying the opportunity to see the H2 in real life for the first time.
SNUG FIT: The seat with its hip support pads
clearly says that this is not your average commuter bike.
COMMAND CENTRE: The business end follows
conventional practice with an analogue rev counter and digital speedo.
HEART OF THE MATTER: In case you missed it,
this is the supercharger all the hype is about.
LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE: The rev counter is
surrounded by a host of warning lights, including one that apparently reminds
you to take your brollie when it rains.
JUST IN CASE: Ohlins steering damper will help
prevent tank slappers on the rare occasions that the front wheel actually
touches the tarmac.
RIVER DEEP: The badge above the headlamp is
Kawasaki’s venerable ‘river mark’. Note the wings on the mirror stalks for
SILENCE IS GOLDEN: The huge end cans keeps the
H2 from running afoul of noise restriction laws.
TAKING PRIDE: Our genial hosts from Bike Crazy
in Pretoria posing with Kawa’s flagship.
