After a couple of rounds down at the coast, the SuperGP Champions Trophy returns inland for the fourth round of the 2018 championship. The event, which forms part of the SA Bike Festival, takes place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit from 25 to 27 May 2018.
The Super300 competitors sit this one out, but the SuperGP and Super600 riders, joined by the BOTTS competitors, will be in action on all three days.
Title defense
Defending champion Clint Seller (Yamaha R1) finally got his season back on track last time out in East London, taking two wins and moving up to second in the title race behind Michael White (Yamaha R1).
Capetonian David McFadden (Kawasaki ZX10) had a weekend to forget in East London and will drop more points when his misses the Kyalami event due to international commitments.

He has dropped to fourth on the log behind Daryn Upton (Suzuki GSXR 1000). The SuperGP category will be joined by the SuperMasters and BOTTS competitors.
Thomas Brown (Ducati Panigale) is leading the way in the BOTTS championship, having won four of the five races in the series so far this year.
Front runners
James Harper (Ducati Panigale) lies in second on the log with Alan Hulscher (Ducati Panigale) in third.
Mick Landi (Rehab Racing Ducati Panigale) has shown that he has the pace to run with the front-runners and will be aiming for his first victory of the season. Hendrik and Frans Fourie could also mix it up with the leaders on their Ducati Panigales.
Blaze Baker’s double victory in East London on his Yamaha R6 has made for an interesting tussle at the top of the Super600 championship log.

Chasing pack
Adolf Boshoff (Suzuki GSXR600) leads the way from Hayden Jonas (Samurai Racing Yamaha R6) with Baker in third, the top three covered by just six points.
Byron Bester (Kawasaki ZX6) leads the chasing pack just ahead of Jared Schultz (Suzuki GSXR600) with Brandon Staffen (Kawasaki ZX6) and Aiden Liebenberg (Kawasaki ZX6), who is also competing internationally in the Red Bull Rookies Cup this season, not far behind.

Friday morning will be dedicated to practice sessions with qualifying for the Super600s getting underway at 13h30. The SuperGP, SuperMasters and BOTTS riders will follow them at 13h55. On both Saturday and Sunday the Super600s will be in action at 14h00 with the bigger bikes following them at 14h45.
