Connecticut - South Africa’s Stephen Simpson is set for a busy time at IMSA’s (International Motor Sports Association) Lime Rock from July 23-24.
The JDC Miller Motorsports driver will share his Chevrolet with Canadian co-driver Misha Goikhberg in the WeatherTech Prototype Challenge (PC) Grand Prix of the Northwest Saturday (July 23).
On Sunday (July 24) Simpson will race a JDC Miller BMW 228i with disabled co-driver Michael Johnson in the Continental TyreSports race (CTSCC).
All psyched up
Simpson admitted: “Lime Rock is going to be a good weekend, we race over two days, so I will be busier than normal jumping between the BMW in the CTSCC and the PC car, but I’m really looking forward to it.
"Lime Rock is the track where I scored my and JDC Miller Motorsports first pole in the WeatherTech series, so we really like the place."

Simpson continued: "Lime Rock is a quick lap, with times under 60 seconds in the PC car and the track has some fast and quite challenging corners.
“We had a positive race last time out - we led for most of the race in PC, but I would like to be in that position at the finish on Saturday, while we are improving every outing in the BMW and we are looking forward to keeping that progress going."
Seeking another win
Simpson concluded: “I also want to give the JDC Miller Motorsport another race win - the whole team always does such a great job and they really deserve it.”
Simpson and Goikhberg remain in a strong third place in the PC championship log following race victories in the Daytona 24-hour and the Grand Prix of Long Beach.
