MONTE CARLO, Monaco - Former Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica has launched his own World Rally championship team and is driving for it in the 2015 season which started on Thursday (Jan 22).
His F1 career was with Sauber but it ended when he almost severed a hand in a 2011 pre-season local rally crash but has since returned to driving in WRC.

For 2015, Kubica will contest the WRC behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta under the banner of his own team, RK World Rally Team, reports German news agency SID.
The first round of the 2015 season is the Monte Carlo rally.
Kubica, driving for M-Sport, was 13th in the 2014 rally championship.
