Video: Nascar pit lane brawl

BRISTOL, Tennessee – Fast cars, big engines and even bigger egos are all part of the motorsport spectacle that makes up Nascar.

More often than not, drivers will class in an unprofessional manner such as brawling in the pits as two former team mates showed on March 17.

Denny Hamlin spun out former team mate Joey Logano during the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup 500 race.

PIT LANE BRAWL

Understandably Logano was incensed by Hamlin’s actions and stormed over to his car in the pit lane.

A video uploaded to YouTube, shows Logano leaning into the cabin to deliver some choice words before being separated by some of Hamlin's crew members.

Seeing their driver being pushed around, Logano's Penske Racing crew members joined the fray.

NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp said there likely would be no penalties for the incident.

The feud continued on Twitter, where Logano posted: "Hey @dennyhamlin great job protecting that genius brain of yours by keeping your helmet on."

Hamlin retorted: "Last time I checked he had my cell and direct message button to choose from if he's got a problem, otherwise hush little child"

Hamlin's current team mate Kyle Busch, who started in pole position and finished second, chimed in: "It's a little disheartening that we all can't just get along.”

‘HE’S COMING FOR ME’

Busch was teamed-up with both drivers during Logano's 2009-12 stint at JGR.

Logano told reporters: "It's frustrating. "We've got a freaking genius behind the wheel of the 11 car. Probably the worst teammate I've ever had. So I learn that now. He chose to run into the back of me. So whatever. I have a scorecard. I ain't putting up with that. I ain't getting run over and not doing something about it."

Hamlin said that Logano triggered the wreck by sliding into his car and that he had in fact slowed twice before the contact.

Apparently Hamlin needs to watch his back, as he told reporters: "He said he was coming for me. I usually don't see him, so it's usually not a factor."

Business as usual in the world of Nascar we suppose…
