During the 2013 Formula One Australian Grand Prix, local race track heros Casey Stoner and Mick Doohan went up against F1 star David Coulthard for a speed comparison run around the Albert Park circuit. Stoner drove the Red Bull V8 Supercar, Doohan a Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG road car while Coulthard was in the Red Bull F1 car. The AMG and V8 were given a calculated handicap start against the F1 car. The event took place daily over four days, with even the AMG crossing the line first in one race.
