CALENDAR JUGGLING ACT: Motorsport SA has issued a revised off-road championship calendar for the remainder of the 2012 season.

 

Motorsport South Africa's off road car racing commission has issued a revised calendar to the remainder of the Natioanl Off-Road championship.

The 4x4 Mega World 400 at Carnival City, Round 6 of the series, has been moved a week to Friday, August 31 / Saturday, September 1 2012. This follows a change to the South African Rally championship calendar.

Off-Road Commission president Richard Schilling said: “There are competitors and manufacturers involved in both the off-road and rally championships. The 4x4 Mega World 400 change has been made to accommodate the rally teams and maintain a reasonable gap of at least three weeks to a month between events in the two categories.”

CLASHING CALENDARS


The final event of the season has been moved to November 23/24 2012 to accommodate the many off-road competitors who will participate in the 94.7 Cycle Race on November 17.
