Giant 'bratwurst' spoils the 'Ring

Imagine you're racing along the Nordschleife, the treacherous layout alongside the modern Nurburgring race circuit. You're pushing it, as one does there and you pass over what looks to be an enormous drawing of male genitalia.

The Nurburgring race circuit had to closed on April 7 2013 to remove a massive 15m long by 4m wide graffiti penis.

According to APA, graffiti artists painted the giant Bratwurst on the asphalt of the famous German race circuit.

'LOW GRIP HAZARD'

Circuit authorities deployed special cleaning vehicles to remove the artwork and local police confirmed that the facility had to be closed for 90 minutes.

Authorities estimate that the Knackwurst involved about 20 litres of white paint and "posed a low-grip safety hazard" for those lapping the Nurburgring.

Perhaps the "artists" wanted to a demonstrate a creative take on a turn indicator? Or straight ahead? Perhaps it's a form of social commentary on the state of the EU? Maybe it represents German fan’s feelings towards Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel at the 2013 Malaysian GP?

All we know is it's incredibly juvenile and we don't condone that kind of vandalism... yet we can't help but laugh. Hope you did too...
