The FIA Institute Young Driver Excellence Academy is a new project aimed at developing young drivers globally.
During 2011 the academy will select 12 drivers to take part in the programme which can be attended by rally and racing drivers.
The training programme is led by former Formula 1 driver and double Le Mans winner Alex Wurz and by former World Rally champion Robert Reid.
At least one driver is chosen from each of five regions: North, Central and South America, Western and Northern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia and Oceania.
In the video we're given an overview of the academy's driver selection event in Melk, Austria.
