Fiat’s 500 is a style icon. Thanks in-house tuner Abarth, it runs keen performance numbers in rally or racing specification too. Add some Ferrari to it though, and the 500 goes absolutely mental. Fettled by Italian track tuning legend Romeo Ferraris (love the name) this endurance racing 500 is an awfully naughty little car. With nearly half a century worth of experience tuning BMWs, Alfas and all other manner of track bound exotica, Ferraris knows exactly what is required to be competitive. Suffice to say Ferraris has managed to extract a very ill-principled 265kW from the turbocharged 1.4l 500 engine. Let that number settle into your subconscious for a while…To keep this monumentally powerful 500 somewhat in the intended direction on track, Ferraris fitted it with a rear wing so outlandish, it should make even Sccoby WRX STi sedan owners wince…The Ferraris 500 will be campaigned in the 6 hours of Vallelunga race this Sunday, driven by the team of Aldo Cerruti and Michela Cerruti.
