SA SUPER SERIES CONTINUES IN 2013:Young Kelvin van der Linde leads the field in the final race for 2012 in the Wesbank Super Series at Kyalami.

CAPE TOWN - South African fans of the Super Series will be happy to know the country’s premier circuit racing series will continue in 2013.

Motorsport South Africa (MSA) said the series will be known as the Super Series until a new partner comes on board in place of WesBank. A re-branding of the event is likely, too, although the 2013 series will go ahead as planned.

2013 provisional calendar:

February 23 - Kyalami (Johannesburg)
March 16 - Killarney (Cape Town)
April 6 - Aldo Scribante (Port Elizabeth)
May 4 - Zwartkops (Pretoria)
June 15 or 22 - Venue to be confirmed
August 3 - Phakisa (Welkom)
August 31 - Zwartkops (Pretoria)
October 5 - Killarney (Cape Town)
November 2 - Kyalami (Johannesburg)

The 2013 Super Series consists of:


Bridgestone Production Cars (incorporating classes A amd T)
Motorcycles (two classes, 600cc Supersport and 1000cc Superbike)
Engen Volkswagen Cup
V8 Supercars / Shelby Can Am
Formula Volkswagen
