Volkswagen's Super CC performance concept is the centerpiece of its SEMA "tuner's extravaganza" show stand.
Nothing like an "old man's car" this Passat is all decked out in its grey pearl paint, custom front and rear bumpers, aluminium spoiler and black chrome exterior accents.
Inside the cabin, passengers are treated to high-gloss piano black accents, while black leather Recaro seats are highlighted with white piping.
And although the Performance CC looks the part, its standard 2.0 TFSI engine has been upgraded with an APR stage three turbocharger system with three performance levels.
In full power mode, this CC's powerplant is good for 231 kW. However, in GT mode, it delivers a useful 187 kW, which drops to "only" 165 kW in eco mode.
Apart from the increase in power, VW's tuning gurus have also managed to drop fuel consumption across the three performance levels.
Brakes have been upgraded to provide extra stopping power, with 14-inch four-piston Brembo aluminium alloy brake calipers at the front and a two-piece floating cross-drilled disc set at the rear.
An APR stainless steel performance exhaust system is also in use.
The Performance CC sits on custom designed 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels and high performance 245/30 R20 Yokahama tyres with an H&R street coil over sport suspension kit.
The Performance CC, designed by Volkswagen's Design Centre in California with help from APR, LLC, Recaro, H&R Suspension and Brembo North America, is currently being shown at SEMA, the world's largest tuning show held annually in Las Vegas.
