If there’s one auto show still around which is SUV friendly, it’s SEMA. Little wonder Mercedes-Benz has showcased its ML 63 AMG Anniversary addition there. As with most anniversary special edition packages, it’s a mechanically unchanged branding exercise, keen on taking more money from buyers for a few different trim inlays. The ML 63 AMG 10th Anniversary features the regulation, hand built, 6.2l V8 from Affalterbach producing 375kW. Exterior changes are ushered in by the presence of new 21-inch mags, finished in ‘Himalaya Grey’, whilst the Anniversary edition model features a new bonnet with elaborate power domes too. At the night the shaded bi-Xenon headlights come into play. Interior embellishments are leather orientated with two-tone nappa leather upholstery in either black/alpaca grey or black/beige contrasted by a two-tone leather trimmed steering wheel too. ML 63 AMG Anniversary is a celebration of 10 years of crazy-fast Merc SUVs, starting with the ML55 back in 1999, the car which launched a thousand rap music video driving scenes.
