GENEVA, Switzerland - The new Kia pro_cee'd GT and cee'd GT, the Korean automaker's most performance-focused production cars yet, will have their world premieres at the 2013 International Geneva Motor Show on March 5 2013.
TAKING ON THE GOLF GTI?
Powering the new models will be the automaker's new turbocharged 1.6 GDI petrol engine capable of 150kw and 265Nm. With 150kW on tap, Kia's hot hatches could take on the Volkswagen's Golf GTI.
The engine, mated to a six-speed manual, drives power to the front wheels enabling the Pro_cee'd GT (two-door) and cee'd (four-door) GT to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds.

Designed in Europe under the direction of president and chief design officer Peter Schreyer, the two debutantes feature "bold and athletic styling", diode daytime running lights, dual exhaust pipes, 18" alloy rims and eye-catching red brake callipers.
Inside, the model sports Recaro leather seats, aluminum pedals and leather trim with contrasting stitching.
MORE FROM KIA
Kia is set to deliver a provocative and racy new concept at the Geneva auto show. Dubbed the "Provoke" concept, the Korean automaker leaked images of its latest model. From what we tell, the model has the automaker's signature nose morphing into an assertive, mischievous grille and headlight arrangement.
Coupled with sporty styling, the new concept could be quite a stunner and if produced, the model could rival the Nissan Juke and Mini Paceman.
