Germany - When motorists choose the Petronas Syntium range, they will experience the same advanced technology that has helped the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team win three consecutive Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championships. Engen is a member of the Petronas group of companies.

Engen says the company is proud that the current Formula 1 champions are powered by the flagship Petronas Syntium lubricants range. 'This is a testament to Petronas’ technical capability and expertise, which is a necessary requirement in a constantly evolving and challenging sport, like Formula 1.”

The experience gathered by Petronas through Formula One has enabled the development of Petronas Syntium Lubricants. It is specially formulated to provide outstanding protection for the engines running under the most extreme and demanding driving conditions. Not only does it provide motorists with a better driving experience, but it also improves engine performance of their cars.

Engen says: “Taking innovation a step further we are also currently phasing in the Petronas Syntium with CoolTech™ brand into Africa which has been expertly engineered to fight excessive engine heat to maintain optimum engine performance.”

“Excessive engine heat is a common problem that is widely underestimated by drivers. The excessive heat inside the engine, which is not visible on the dashboard gauge, is aggravated by modern-day driving conditions such as traffic congestion, driving up steep inclines and continuous acceleration on highways.

“We are extremely proud to introduce our motorists to Petronas Syntium with °CoolTech™ which has been formulated to fight excessive heat, thus enabling drivers like you and I to enjoy a trouble-free drive,” adds Kennedy.
