Melbourne - US streaming service Netflix announced that it will produce an original 10 episode-long series of the 2018 Formula 1 season.
A statement by Formula 1 says the show will 'be the first to truly immerse the audience in the cockpits, the paddock and the lives of the key players in Formula 1."
Academy-Award winner James Gay Rees from Senna fame is the executive producer alongside Paul Martin from Box to Box Films.
The sport's commercial chief Sean Bratches said the agreement with Netflix "will chronicle the fascinating story of what transpires behind the scenes during a grand prix season."
