Johannesburg - Ayrton Senna and Micheal Schumacher are two of the most legendary drivers in Formula 1.
Senna was a skilled wet-weather driver, astute when it came to engine tuning, a big risk-taker with an even bigger heart.
Schumacher was one of the most naturally gifted drivers, ruthless on track and has a race-winning legacy that has yet to be surpassed.
During their brief rivalry on track, one of their most memorable duels took place at the 1993 SA Grand Prix at Kyalami in Johannesburg.

Senna represented McLaren-Ford (Red and white) and Schumacher raced for Benneton-Ford (green and yellow). Fans were griped as their ontrack battle intensified during the 30th to 40th lap.
The video below starts off with Schumacher overtaking Senna before both drivers head to the pits . The McLaren-Ford pit crew proved faster and Senna regained the lead.
Disaster
Despite Schumacher tailing Senna closely, he was unable to overtake the Brazilian for nine laps. On the 40th, Schumacher attempted an overtake but collided with Senna that ultimately led to his retirement in the race.
