Montreal - Kevin Magnussen's crash at Turn 7 cut the third and final practice session for Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix by 12 minutes.
The Renault driver damaged the left side of the car but emerged unscathed from the incident after marshals red flagged the session and removed debris from the track.
"Are you okay?" asked the team over the radio. "Kevin, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay," he said softly in response.
Hamilton 5th fastest
The session belonged to Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel who topped the time sheets with a lap of 1min.13.919. Red Bull's teenage driver Max Verstappen was 0.239secs behind the German.
Vettel's teammate Kimi Raikkonen finished fourth quickest, sandwiched between the Mercedes duo of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton.
