Webber slams 'no mirrors' rookie

MONTREAL, Canada - Red Bull DRIVERMark Webber has slammed Caterham rookie Giedo van der Garde for being "a pay driver with no mirrors".

The insult was reminiscent of Webber's ridicule of "first-lap nutcase" Romain Grosjean in 2012.

ROOKIE PENALISED

His angry comment followed an incident at the 2013 Canadian GP when the rookie's Caterham and Webber's car collided.

Webber was not impressed by Garde's talent: "We had a lot of blue flags as we approached the hairpin. Some guys maybe have too much concentration on (just) driving the cars."

Garde was penalised five grid places for the 2013 British GP on June 30.
