GRENOBLE, France - Michael Schumacher has been moved to a special rehabilitation unit at the at the Grenoble University Hospital in France, according to the German weekly magazine Bunte.

Earlier in June 2014, a private German rehabilitation clinic in Allensbach denied reports that it was already treating the former Formula 1 driver.

Germany's DPA news agency said Schumacher, who has been in a coma since late December 2013, was still unconscious at the Grenoble hospital.

READY FOR REHAB?

Bunte reports that, even though the former F1 driver's chances of recovery were small, Schumacher is being prepared for rehabilitation.

He has reportedly been discharged from the neurological care unit at the hospital and transferred to a unit specialising in rehabilitation treatment.

Citing clinical sources, Bunte added that Schumacher's next phase of treatment would prepare him for transferral to a specialist rehabilitation clinic.
