SWITZERLAND - The International Olympic Committe says it could force Russian organisers to postpone a Formula 1 race until 2015 to avoid any clash with the 2014 Winter Olympics.
F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone signed a six-year deal with Russian officials in October, 2010 to run GP races in the Black Sea resort from 2014 but the IOC has said it would have the final say on whether the race went ahead then or in 2015.
IOC executive director Gilbert Felli said: "We don't want to have the facility built for the GP to put the construction or preparation of the games at risk."
He said there was a clause in the F1 contract that allowed the IOC to postpone the race by a year.
