Ricciardo 'banging head against a wall'

MONTREAL, Canada - A year after celebrating his maiden victory in Montreal Daniel Ricciardo admitted on Sunday (June 7) that he feels he is "banging his head against a wall" after finishing 13th at the 2015 Canadian GP.

Ricciardo started ninth behind Red Bull team mate Daniil Kvyat but was unable to hold that position and finished behind Toro Rosso rookie Carlos Sainz.

'WE DIDN'T HAVE PACE'

Ricciardo said: "We tried and nothing worked. We didn't have pace. At the moment all I can do is laugh. Race cars are complicated. Some days you don't understand them.

"Unfortunately, we haven't really got on top of it this weekend, but we didn't expect to be that slow in the race.

"I knew I wasn't fighting for points, but I was still fighting and trying to get as much out of it as I could. It was just one of those races where you go round and round."
