LONDON, England - Banking group Santander has renewed its sponsorship deal with McLaren, a boost for the Formula 1 team while it continues to look for a headline sponsor for 2014..

Santander has backed McLaren since 2007; the group also sponsors the Ferrari F1 team.

McLaren's former World champion Jenson Button will continue to feature in Santander marketing campaigns even though the F1 team had a dismal 2013 season during which neither of its drivers appeared on the podium.

It has yet to find a title sponsor to replaceVodafone which pulled out at the end of the previous season.
