RED BULLS, FOR REAL: Tradition and heritage count for Red Bull so, here are the team's 2015 racing colours. Image: Red Bull Racing
BARCELONA, Spain - The Red Bull Formula 1 team has at last shed the RB11's 'camouflage' livery that has cloaked it right through winter testing.
It was a novel black-and-white scheme designed to throw rival teams' spy photographers and designers off-track - rather like Second World War dazzle paint.
But the livery also proved highly popular among the fans, prompting calls for Red Bull to use it for the Grands Prix, too.
'WE VALUE HERITAGE'
The team said on Monday (Mar 2 2015): "It's not the first alternative livery we've used and doubtless it won't be the last, but we've made our mark in the last 10 years in dark blue, and in dark blue we'll remain."
The team showed off the car's race-days livery on Twitter, the images along with the hashtag 'Back in colour'.
"Those are the racing colours in which we've achieved great things," the team said. "We're not the most traditional of but, like the rest of the sport, we value heritage."
Although the final winter test ended on Sunday (March 1) Red Bull was running the newly-liveried RB11 at Barcelona for video purposes.
