Red Bull's new cars are the slowest of all Formula 1 teams in a straight line, according to analysis by Germany's Auto Motor und Sport.
Based on the final two days of testing near Barcelona, Spain, F1 correspondent Michael Schmidt found that the RB9 (top speed of 307.7km/h) was 12.8km/h slower on the long straight than the quickest - which was Marussia at 320.5km/h.
'RACES NOT WON ON THE STRAIGHT'
Behind Marussia came Ferrari, Force India and Sauber each reached 316.7km/h. McLaren was fifth fastest followed by Lotus (314.9km/h)
Even Toro Rosso and Williams were 5km/h (at 312km/h) faster than the Red Bull.
Schmidt cryptically said: "As Red Bull has shown, races are not won on the straights."
