Thoughts among the media and F1 experts about who will secure the second seat in Ferrari in 2013 seem to be scattered.
Although there was speculation about Kimi Raikkonen or Jenson Button, newsapapers Blick (Switzerland) and La Gazzetta dello Sport (Italy) believe they are more likely to stay with their current teams.
There are a handful of other contenders, according to Gazetta, among them Nico Hulkenberg, Paul di Resta, Heikki Kovalainen and Kamui Kobayashi.
HOPEFUL YOUNGSTER
Another driver, one who confirmed he might be in the running, is Sergio Perez. Already familiar with the brand, he races a Ferrari-powered Sauber, and is the cream of Ferrari's driver development academy.
"If there is an opportunity with them (Ferrari) or another team then it's the time to know," said Perez.
