Perez: 'I dunno what happened'

MONTE CARLO, Monaco - Sauber driver Sergio Perez left hospital, two days after his crash during qualifying for the 2011 Monaco F1 GP.

The 21-year-old missed the race and was diagnosed with bruised legs and concussion. He said he would now be doing everything possible to make sure he was back in the car in time for the Canadian GP on June 6.

"I'm pretty sure I will be driving in Montreal," he said. He crashed at the tunnel exit in the final phase of qualifying.

He left the Princess Grace Hospital in the Mediterranean principality on Tuesday and said later: "I feel OK. I've a little bit of pain in a leg and in my neck but this comes from muscles and is nothing to worry about.

"On Sunday I still felt a bit dizzy but that was all. I'm healthy and looking forward to being back in the car."

The Mexican said he could remember only some of the accident: "For the time being I am missing some memories about what happened after the first impact and the rescue procedures," he said. "I don't really know what caused the accident.

"My race engineer told me there was no problem with the car. I can only guess I might have been a bit offline or braked on a bump."
