Twin shocks in Monza qualifying

MONZA, Italy - Hot and clear at Monza for qualifying for the 2013 Italian F1 GP at Monza - and the shock of the day was Hamilton out on Q2.

Taking pole for Sunday's race will be Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel with a time of 1min23.755, followed by team mate Mark Webber on 1min23.968 and another shock of the day, Nico Hulkenberg in third with 1min24.065.

The rest of the top 10 will be made up, in order, by Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso, Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo, Sergio Perez, Jenson Button and Jean-Eric Vergne.

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, Vettel's closest title rival, qualified a disappointing fifth and behind Brazilian team mate Felipe Massa and hoping-for-a fifth-pole-in- a-row Lewis Hamilton will start 12th for Mercedes. He won the race in 2012.
