Norbert Haug doesn't agree with Michael Schumacher's Pirelli criticism but can understand the F1 veteran's concerns.
Mercedes driver Schumacher slammed F1's official tyre supplier after the Bahrain GP, saying the 2012 tyres degrade too quickly and are not good enough for the sport. "We drive around like the safety car. It is not a satisfying situation."

Team chief Haug didn't agree, insisting Pirelli had contributed to a "very great competition" in 2012 featuring "very good races". "Of course, for a driver, there is always a certain frustration when you think you could be going faster but you are having to be careful.
"That's just the nature of the racer."
Haug did, at least, say Schumacher's comments proved Mercedes did not muzzle its drivers...
