Grosjean slams 'unacceptable' Renault

SAHKIR, Bahrain - Formula 1 Lotus driver Romain Grosjean is apparently becoming more and more frustrated by the situation in the 2014 season.

Before theseason started a video circulated on the internet depicting Grosjean slamming his hand on a tool bench as the serious problems with the new E22 car became clear.

However Grosjean said: "It was a joke with the mechanic, a cameraman took the picture, it went viral."

FRUSTRATIONS GROW

During post-Bahrain GP testing, after team mate Pastor Maldonado suffered engine issues on day one, Grosjean's track time on day two was limited to just 16 laps with "power unit failure".

Grosjean said: "I hope Renault will improve in terms of reliability and performance because today was not acceptable. We are expecting more.

"Renaultsaid that in China and Barcelona there would be changes, so we wait."
