Grosjean hot streak continues

MUGELLO, Italy - Rookie Romain Grosjean followed up his first ever podium placing in a Grand Prix by recording the equal-fastest time in his Lotus on the second day of testing in Mugello, Italy.

He was third in the 2012 Bahrain GP behind double World champion Sebastian Vettel and Lotus team mate Kimi Raikkonen but in Mugello clocked a best time of 1min21.603 in the morning session.

That was equalled by Japan's Kamui Kobayashi (Sauber) in the afternoon session, while Vettel and Red Bull team mate Mark Webber recorded the third and fourth fastest times respectively.

The three-day test is the only one of the season outside of race weekends. The only team missing from Mugello, site of the first in-season tests since 2008, was HRT.

The next race will be the Spanish Grand Prix on May 13.
