Ferrari row: Hearing date set
2010-08-03 08:35
The Ferrari F1 team will hear in September if it will face more sanctions for issuing team orders during August's German F1 GP. The case has been referred to the World Motor Sport Council.
The FIA said on Monday: "After the receipt of a report sent by the stewards to the International Automobile Federation its president has decided... to submit the case to the judging body of the World Motor Sport Council.
"The disciplinary council's hearing will be in Paris on September 8 2010."
Ferrari triggered a storm at Hockenheim after Brazilian driver Felipe Massa, who was leading the race, responded to a radio message by allowing Spanish team mate Fernando Alonso to overtake and later win. Ferrari was fined $100 000 and referred to the FIA.
FIA president Jean Todt will not be present at the hearing due to his former role as team principal at Ferrari.
