Ferrari has been the most reliable Formula 1 team so far in 2010 but Red Bull is leading the championships and has collected the most wins and pole positions.
The Bulls are only second in the reliability stakes, according to an analysis by Germany's Auto Motor und Sport has found.
The Ferrari F10, driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, has completed a remarkable 1471 of the possible 1474 laps through the 12 races so far - 98 more than Red Bull - but the Italian team is only third in the Constructors' championship and Alonso, in fifth, is the highest-placed Ferrari driver.
The Spaniard's late-in-the-race engine failure in Malaysia was Ferrari's only retirement; neither he nor Massa has crashed out of a race.
Mercedes is the only other team fielding drivers who have not retired due to an accident in 2010.
In contrast, Red Bull has had one failure and two crashes, McLaren has had two technical failures and one crash retirement and Renault has the worst reliability of the top teams with four technical retirements and two crashes.
The least technically reliable teams overall were Virgin (11 retirements) and Sauber (10). HRT is the most reliable new team (8), ahead of Lotus (9).
