Red Bull and Toro Rosso look like being the only teams which will test in Abu Dhabi later in 2012.
The traditional young drivers' test, a track session for inexperienced drivers to drive F1 cars, is scheduled to take place at the Yas Marina circuit in November 2012.
Due to the congested race calendar, the date and venue have been reconsidered.
BUSY SCHEDULE
The Indian GP (October 28) will be raced a week before Abu Dhabi and the young driver test is scheduled for the week after. Following the test session drivers will then have back-to-back races in the US (November 18) and Brazil (November 25).
In the light of this tough schedule, reports said teams were happier to test young drivers at Silverstone. Abu Dhabi circuit boss Richard Cregan conceded: "It's a long season as it is and there are a lot of back-to-back races this year, so it's tough for the teams."
German magazine Speed Week reports that most teams want a test session in July. The magazine said Red Bull and Toro Rosso were sticking with the original Abu Dhabi schedule.
Teams could still cancel the Silverstone session and join Red Bull in Abu Dhabi based on the fickle UK weather in July.
