F1 testing: Rosberg on top for Mercedes

SPIELBERG, Austria - Nico Rosberg posted the fastest time in private tests on Wednesday (June 25) at the Red Bull Ring, the same circuit where he beat Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton to win the 2015 Austrian GP on June 21.

Rosberg led the time sheets with a lap of 1min09.113 in the second session in Spielberg after Williams' Valterri Bottas had led the way in the morning with a lap of 1min10.029.

TESTING IN SPIELBERG

Ferrari test driver Esteban Gutierrez split the pair to post the second-fastest time of the second and final day of testing ahead of the 2015 British Grand Prix at Silverstone on July 5.

On June 21, Mercedes F1 reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein topped the time-sheets in Spielberg. Despite heavy rains, Wehrlein managed to post 63 laps with a best time of 1min11.005.
