SEPANG, Malaysia - Formula 1 commercial head Bernie Ecclestone says the German Formula 1 GP could stay off the sport's calendar after its 2015 cancellation.
And he has warned that the iconic Italian GP at Monza could be next to get a black flag.
DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Ecclestone, speaking on March 27 2015 after a meeting with team leaders ahead of the Malaysian F1 GP, said he could not confirm the return of the German race in 2016.
"The contract for a race at Hockenheim next year doesn't make a difference. A lot of people have a contract".
Ecclestone added that the continuing loss of races in the sport's European heartland was "terrible" but added "whatever goes, goes" when asked about the future of the Italian GP.
