LONDON, England - Formula 1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone has summoned the chiefs of the sport's smallest teams to his London HQ.
Representatives of Marussia, Caterham, Force India, Sauber and Toro Rosso have been invited to the meeting on February 7 2013. The meeting follows speculation that F1's smallest teams are buckling under financial problems.
Among the problems facing them is concern over new engines and small teams ousting salaried drivers in favour of "pay drivers" for 2013.
Mercedes boss Ross Brawn said: "We have always had these phases. F1 has always found its way out of them."
