MONTREAL, Canada - Lewis Hamilton grabbed pole position for the 2015 Canadian GP on Saturday (June 6), ahead of his Mercedes team mate Nico Robserg.

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen qualified in third.

Hamilton had mixed fortunes during practice sessions ahead of qualifying; The Mercedes ace set the fastest time during first practice, crashed during the second round and finished last during the third.

ON POLE IN MONTREAL

Hamilton hopes to bounce back at the 2015 Canadian GP as Mercedes plays down its 'strategy blunder' in Monaco. Grabbing pole position at Montreal was his sixth in seven races in 2015 season.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel suffered power unit problems and failed to progress beyond the first session, qualifying only 16th. Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen will drop from 12th position, however, due to a 15-place grid penalty.
