Land Rover is to unveil the new Freelander at the British Motor Show next month but information and photos continue to surface on the internet.
When Wheels24 published the controversial leaked Freelander brochure earlier this month, Land Rover South Africa threatened us with legal action, saying that the images were acquired "illegitimately".
However, the brochure was still published in other international motoring publications such as Auto Express, one of Britain's best read motoring magazines.
Now some major online motoring publications have posted new images of the Freelander, which appears like the official media photos.
It is clear that the new Freelander is to grow in size and that its design is influenced by the striking Range Rover Sport.
There is no official indication yet about the Freelander's engine range but insiders say that it is to get a new 3.2-litre V6 engine. There will also be a new 2.2-litre turbodiesel unit.
